Turning 30

I cant quite believe I’m almost 30! 30 I mean there is something so adult sounding about turning this milestone, like I’m a proper adult now ekes! Well I couldn’t let it pass without celebrating it so last weekend I had our wedding florist over to show me and the girls how to make floral crowns. I’ve made them once before and there is something quite therapeutic about it and of course enjoyable getting creative etc. I knew the flowers would be stunning as I’d used KWF Floristy before and they didnt disappoint.

Of course us girls couldn’t wait to get stuck in and after watching how to do one we picked our blooms and got stuck right in.

It was so much fun an we all made such different style floral crowns.

I also put on a little Afternoon Tea style spread because let’s face it I’m almost 30 and love a cuppa tea hehe.

I think its safe to say the girls loved their crowns and hopefully their afternoon tea. I mean you cant really go wrong with tea and cake can you?

Everyone also had a personalised ginger biscuit with their cuppa teas as a little favour and look how cute they are…

I then actually forgot to cut the cake that I made (with a little help from Polly) a naked lemon cake with real flowers and the lovely cake topper was made by my friend @madebykimberley over on Instagram.

We then ventured off to Norwich for the evening. Some of the girls had to get back an some who couldn’t make the day were able to make the evening so was really lovely to see everyone.

Of course the floral crowns came too! We all had yummy mains, deserts and cocktails too. The food is always delish from the Rooftop Gardens.

I also got sung happy birthday too which who doesn’t love being sung to on your birthday hehe. We then continued onto “Popworld” a 90s nightclub which actually was really good. Each to their own of course but it was right up our street singing our hearts out to five and dancing our shoes off to vengerboys etc was such a giggle.

I honestly had such a lovely day with my lovely family and friends. I love hosting parties and then to go “Out out” was such a giggle. Were away on my actual birthday so its been nice to drag out the celebrations hehe. And comparing the weather from last weekend to this weekend we were super lucky with the weather, no sandals on this weekend.

Much love

Sophie
