Our One Year Wedding Anniversary

I actually can not believe we have been married a whole year! Time really flies when your having fun and it’s crazy to think we’ve been married now longer than engaged. Of course I couldn’t let it slip by without a celebratory weekend away. We had a beautiful stay at Park Farm in Heathersett. We have actually stayed here before (our 7th anniversary together), the food is delish and we’ve had the pleasure of watching two lots of our friends get married here too.

We stayed in the Beech suite was was lovely and huge especially the bed and now Andrew wants us to get a bigger bed. There were balloons and chocolates on our pillows waiting for us too which was a cute little touch. There was a sofa and television area and little bar too. It also had a nice bathroom with bubble bath and huge rainfall shower.

We unpacked and chilled out in our room before going down for Afternoon Tea which Andrew had booked. He only tried it for the first time this year and quite liked it, so I’m happy his understanding my love of tea and cake.

It was so scrummy, I could literally drink tea and eat cake until the cows come home. As you can see Andrew pushed the boat out and had a beer hehe. We then let our Afternoon Tea digest because heading to the Spa and going for a swim. The pool was rather warm as far as pools go. The hot tub was nice and powerful and made you feel like you were having a nice back massage and we couldn’t not go in the steam room and sauna. There obviously aren’t any pictures from the pool as I didn’t want to risk getting my camera wet. But here is one before we left for spa.

Child free and no care in the world…..

We then came back to our room again and chilled out and then got ready for dinner that evening. We had booked a table in their main restaurant but you go into the bar for drinks first and order and then they call you through once your food is almost ready so that was nice. Again the food was absolutely lush! I went for chicken and Andrew went for steak.

We then went to the bar for drinks after before finally going back to the room and watching a film. We both slept like babies and had such a goodnight sleep, the bed must have been super comfy as I don’t normally sleep too well away. Not for the first night anyway takes me a few nights to get used to a new bed. We woke at almost 9am!! Which is super unheard for a Sunday although Polly is a fab sleeper she isn’t that good. So the lay in was amazing. We finished off our stay with a yummy full English breakfast to set us up for the day. That in itself felt like a proper treat as its something I would never cook at home. Too messy and greasy but lovely when its done for you.

We then checked out and headed to the car to find I had a bloody puncture! We had a giggle at least and said its an anniversary we wont forget. And after we got towed to the nearest Quick Fit to get sorted we then finally got home to out little babe, who had been good as gold for Nanny. She has then napped so I’ve been able to write the post then this evening were having a picky tea and going to watch our amazing wedding video, which Polly loved watching last time but we haven’t watched it this year infact so that will be nice.

Much Love
