Braids & Blooms Workshop

Last Wednesday I headed of to my very first “Instameet” If your unsure of what it is all about, its where a group of friends who we have met via the app all meet up. It was arranged by the lovely Becca of Braids and Blooms whom I have known for several years now, pre-pregnancy with Polly infact! She is such a lovely lady so I wanted to go along and support her.

She had arrange for us all to meet at the lovely Sugar Boutique in their cute little cabin out the back of their shop. When I arrived I was greeted by Becca with a big hug an most of the other girls were all there already and all said hello! I knew it was going to be a lovely day! We all had tea or coffee on arrival and had a lovely goodie bag placed in our seats with our name tags infront and a bottle of water too!

Once everyone got settled Becca soon began teaching us the main thing she is know of her beautiful braids.

We then all got to learning some of these lovely braids. Below are two I did on the lovely Hannah who had the thickest hair to work with it was lush!

She had such gorgeous hair to work with and I was able to practise so many different styles before doing mine.

We then watched Becca do some more styles before we then had some yummy afternoon tea which was just delish!

We had yummy sandwiches, duck rolls, mini cupcakes, biscuits, meringues with strawberries and more strawberries and of course more tea. Yummy!! After lunch we then went on to learn how to make the most beautiful flower crowns.

This was so lovely and quite therapeutic actually and we did it in groups on our tables so was nice to be able to chat to everybody and learn everyone’s real life names rather than our Instagram ones he he.

I loved my hair here and these blooms from the Ivy Florist were just lush.

We then all got a chance to do the Becca pose and then have some group pictures too.

I can truly say it was such a fabulous day with some really lovely ladies who I know I will have new friends for life. Life is always so busy but it was nice to have a day off as such and be Sophie not Mummy. Although I missed my little munchkin, she did like my floral crown I made.
