Only a week late in posting this blog post from last weekend but I thought its defiantly a nice keep sake one for us to look back on in many years to come. If you follow me on Instagram you will have known Polly had been poorly in the run up to Fathers Day Weekend, but lucky on the actual day itself wasn’t too bad and seemed to be much better than she had been after suffering from a severe viral bug.
Andrew has never been one for all eyes on him kind guy so I kept things low key by letting him have a nice lay in, a breakfast and a cuppa coffee in his daddy mug and a gift box and card waiting for him in the kitchen for when he got up.

The picture doesn’t show it off too well but the item on the right is Polly’s footprint which was made at Baby sensory a couple weeks back. I always think little handmade gifts are super cute and meaningful. The box contained some plain black socks, until you see the soles which then were printed with this message.

Andrew loved the socks and it was even his idea for this picture, which you can image keeping a crawling 10 month old on her knees for too long was easier said than done.
We then chilled in the garden for most of the day as the weather was just beautiful. Polly loves her little paddling pool we got her recently and its perfect with the roof to help keep the sun of her.
Later on we then brought out her little bubble machine which she adores, because what baby doesn’t like bubbles.

We then had my parents over for a BBQ and ate in the Garden as it was still so warm. I love hosting and doing dinner parties etc but BBQ’s are the perfect most chilled get together you can have and as Andrew was Chef there actually wasn’t too much for me to do.
So that was our nice chilled Fathers day, the first of many. I hope you all had a lovely day with your loved ones.
Much Love
